sif Ali Zardari.Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment on Thursday to deepening bilateral ties, highlighting China’s long-standing, enduring, and well-established partnership.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Asif Ali Zardari made this statement when meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Beijing.

The “enduring and deep-rooted China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership, nurtured by successive generations of the leaders of both countries” was emphasized by President Zardari.

President Zardari thanked China for its ongoing support of Pakistan’s development program and emphasized the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s (CPEC) critical role in fostering regional connectivity and economic growth during the meeting.

The president is on a five-day visit to the neighboring country with a delegation of senior ministers, and the two sides also discussed the high-quality development under CPEC 2.0, with an emphasis on strengthening cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, science & technology, infrastructure, and agriculture to further advance shared progress and common prosperity.

Pakistan and China sign Memorandums of Understanding

In the meantime, China and Pakistan signed several memorandums of understanding (Mous) on Thursday to expand their collaboration in a number of areas, such as construction, fertilizer, and renewable energy.

China’s Qing Gong Construction Group and Pakistan’s Thatta Cement Company inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that calls for the establishment of a production line in Pakistan to boost cement output by 5,000 tonnes per day.

The Energy Department of Sindh and the Ming Yang Renewable Energy Company of China inked another Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement calls for cooperation on a number of Pakistani renewable energy initiatives.

He met with Chinese President Xi Jinping a day ago, and the two of them talked about the importance of people-to-people connections and cultural exchanges, as well as the good trajectory of the bilateral relationship.

Along with discussing topics of mutual interest on a regional and global level, the two colleagues also talked about ways to broaden their bilateral partnership, particularly through ongoing high-level discussions.

The leaders of the two nations also reiterated their support for one another on matters of mutual concern, highlighting their longstanding friendship.
