The moon, which is anticipated to be 27 hours old at the time of observation, will be sighted during sessions of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on March 29 and 30.
The moon may be sighted on March 30 due to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) prediction that it will be visible for up to an hour. As a result, March 31 will be the first day of Shawwal.
During the Eid holidays, Karachi is likely to see scorching weather, with highs of 37 degrees Celsius, according to the Met Office. During the holiday season, the city is expected to endure intense heat because of the moisture in the air.
