This will reportedly be the two’s first on-screen appearance together, and there were rumors that they were also working on a special project. There’s a special project underway, and the team is fantastic!
We have all heard of Wahaj Ali and Mahira Khan for years. Famous figures like Khirad, Mehreen, Shano, and Saba instantly spring to mind when you hear the name Mahira. In a similar vein, Wahaj has provided us with memorable roles as Jimmy, Basim, Saad, Rumi, and several others. Fans have always hoped to see them together, perhaps in a romantic comedy. A sentimental drama? Well, it’s happening at last!
The unique project has yet to be given a title, but there are rumors that it may be Woh Ek Raat, written by Farhat Ishtiaq, the mastermind behind heartwarming romances that always have deeper meanings. Yaqeen Ka Safar, Udaari, Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, Meem Se Mohabbat, and Humsafar—her narrative never lets you down! Expect nothing less than pure cinematic beauty with Shahzad Kashmiri directing—yes, the same genius who brought us Yaqeen Ka Safar, Maat, Parizaad, Neem, and a number of other hits. The telefilm, which was produced by Momina Duraid, will premiere on HUM TV.
What may Woh Ek Raat (fake title) be about now? Maybe a fortuitous encounter that transforms everything? Perhaps the lives of two strangers who happen to meet paths one evening take a surprising turn. Does fate have other intentions, or is it love at first sight? A forgotten memory, an enigmatic meeting, or a choice that changes their fates? There are so many options, and we are eager to learn more!
As we write this, the project’s shooting is still in progress, and the release date has not yet been set. The drama is apparently being filmed in a number of locales, so the creators won’t be able to wrap it up anytime soon!
