As Kashmir’s first female beekeeper, Sania Zehra, who is only 20 years old, has made a big difference and is known as the “Bee Queen of Kashmir.”

Sania Zehra, 20, has accomplished a remarkable feat by becoming the sole female beekeeper in the Kashmir Valley and a role model for women across the country. She has been dubbed the “Bee Queen of Kashmir Valley.” Sania has assisted her father in growing their beekeeping business by an incredible 400 percent because to her unrelenting dedication and inventive attitude.

Sania has broken beyond gender preconceptions by pursuing a career that many women avoid. Her father, who has years of experience in the industry, helped her get started in beekeeping. Sania has endured many hardships, such as getting stung by bees innumerable times, but her fortitude has only made her determination stronger. “I express my gratitude to all those who have bestowed upon me the title of Bee Queen of Kashmir,” she declared. “I have learned a lot from my father, who has been in the beekeeping industry for a long time.”

Sania has faced challenges along the way. She saw the unethical tactics of retailers adulterating honey after entering the family company. She increased their enterprise from 150 bee colonies to over 650, enabling them to sell their honey both domestically and abroad, all while maintaining quality. She has also dabbled in producing organic cosmetics, such as oils, soaps, and face creams derived from honey and its extracts, which are quickly becoming well-liked.

“I’ve introduced soaps, creams, and hair oils. I hope to grow my business even more in the future,” Sania said. “I don’t notice the bad in life; I only see the good. I don’t care about the hate; what matters to me is the love I get.

Even after being called the “Bee Queen” and subjected to internet harassment, Sania seems unfazed. “I am the first Kashmiri girl who is doing beekeeping,” she says, urging young women to follow their dreams. I prefer to do what I do in the hopes of inspiring the many females who are even terrified of cockroaches.

Sania, who is from Balhama in Srinagar, contributes to the expanding body of work showing how successful Kashmiri women are in a variety of industries, including entertainment, business, and sports. The younger generation is opening the door to a better future by boldly taking on challenges and conquering obstacles.

Sania Zehra is a living example of the strength of willpower and perseverance, motivating countless others to pursue careers in beekeeping as she continues to shatter stereotypes.
