Ayesha Muzzafar, who is well-known for sharing terrifying tales on her Instagram account, abusjinns, is about to witness the first-ever big-screen adaptation of one of her screenplays.
According to an Instagram post by Muzzafar, the film Deemak features an impressive cast that includes Samina Peerzada, Bushra Ansari, Faysal Quraishi, Sonya Hussayn, and Javed Sheikh.
Rafay Rashdi is the director and Wah Wah Productions is the producer.
“My very first script is finally coming to life, ladies, gentlemen, and jinns.” Working with Wah Wah Productions and Rafay Rashdi to create Deemak has been an absolutely exciting adventure. Muzaffar shared the trailer, saying, “This dark, compelling, and incredibly unsettling tale, starring Pakistan’s most celebrated actors, will be infesting your screens very soon.”
In the teaser, a family is followed about their house by strange activity. The trailer, which is fueled by spooky music, horrifying cries, and unsettling laughter, is incredibly captivating despite the fact that none of the characters speak during it.
A release date has not yet been announced by the filmmakers.
A distinct feeling of dread is frequently evoked by horror movies. Maybe it’s the eerie shadows created by a flickering light or the tense silence before a door creaks open. The fear increases in “Deemak” when an apparition emerges on a ceiling fan, making spectators reconsider gazing up. Many people could be discouraged from going inside their kitchens at night just because of this terrifying image.
With its trailer, “Deemak,” which is scheduled for release in 2025, is already generating excitement. The film, which was written by best-selling author Ayesha Muzaffar and directed by Rafay Rashdi, is sure to pique the interest of people with active imaginations. Faysal Quraishi, who recently starred in “Khaie,” is the cast leader and provides an insight into another aspect of his acting abilities.
Alongside Quraishi, Sonya Hussyn plays his wife and mother of their kids in the movie. Experienced performers Samina Peerzada, Javed Sheikh, Bushra Ansari, and Saman Ansari are among the cast members, each contributing depth to a genre that requires presence and skill.
A spooky montage of the actors in an old mansion is shown in the teaser. The eerie words, “It infests,” are accompanied by levitating beds, a burial scene, and whispers that heighten the mood. It consumes. It ruins.
The word “Deemak,” which translates to “termites” in Urdu, refers to the silent but devastating power of the characters in the movie, reflecting the termites’ cunning destruction.
Short but powerful snippets of terror are seen in the teaser, including Sheikh yelling, Quraishi in a state of fear, Peerzada watching mysteriously from a balcony, and shadows crawling menacingly. Thanks to Rashdi’s cooperation with a Canadian VFX team, the tension is palpable and supported by excellent computer-generated imagery and visual effects.
